High School Intern Program

Description:

This is a summer program only that is offered to current Junior and Senior students and 

who are interested in seeking an Engineering or Manufacturing career post graduate. 

You must meet all the criteria listed below to qualify for an interview. 

Requirements:

  • 2.5 minimal GPA

  • Good Attendance

  • Must be a Junior or Senior

  • Must have a good knowledge of basic mathematics 

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

  • Interested in Engineering or Manufacturing post graduate.

Pay:

  • Pay rate is $10/Hr.

Benefits: 

  • Service credit accumulated during a full-time work experience is credited should student become a regular full-time employee. 

Credit:

  • If credit is sought, Fisher will assist with completing the necessary forms.

Hours Worked:

  • Normal work hours are 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. In rare instances work may be 

         requested outside these hours or days.

  • Dates: Mid-June to Mid-August

Dress Code:

  • The dress code policy of Fisher will apply. 

  • Employment in the manufacturing plant, test lab, and other special areas require wearing 

         safety equipment including safety shoes, glasses, and hearing protection. Fisher will 

         reimburse students $75 towards the purchase of shoes. 

Drug Screening:

  • All employees on the Fisher payroll are required to complete a post-offer, pre-

         employment drug screening. This will be arranged through our Medical Department. 

Employment Documentation:

  • By Federal law, Fisher is required to verify eligibility to work in the U.S. On the first day

         of employment students must present identification meeting the I9 requirements. Some 

         of the accepted documents include passport, birth certificate, driver’s license, social 

         security card, etc.
